UK shoplifters barred from retail stores after criminal behaviour orders

Charlotte Jones, a 35‑year‑old from Nottingham, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison after CCTV captured her stealing more than £1,000 worth of luxury chocolates from Hotel Chocolat and Waterstones. She breached a previously imposed Criminal Behaviour Order that had barred her from certain city‑centre shops, leading to her recall to prison and a compensation payment of £156.79.

Katie Hudson, a 30‑year‑old from Doncaster, received a Criminal Behaviour Order that prohibits her from entering any One Stop store in South Yorkshire and an Asda in Springwell Lane, Balby. The order follows her admission to 11 thefts from One Stop outlets over two weeks, two earlier thefts, and an assault on a shop worker. The order remains in force until July 2029, and a breach could result in a return to prison.
