Ferrero recalls Nutella croissants and muffins in Europe over metal fragment risk

Ferrero has initiated a precautionary recall of its frozen Nutella Croissants and Nutella Muffins sold in Lidl and other supermarkets across several European countries after detecting possible metal fragments in specific production batches (e.g., L126Z39, L127Z39). The company warned consumers, "If you have bought the product, do not eat it," and instructed shoppers to either return the items for a full refund or discard them. The recall covers products sold in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Romania, Belgium, Spain, Hungary and other EU markets, but Ferrero stressed that no other Nutella products are affected. Retailers have removed the affected batches from shelves and posted point‑of‑sale notices. The precautionary measure aims to prevent injury from ingested metal fragments, with no reported incidents to date.
