UK supermarkets to operate on reduced hours for August bank holiday

Major UK supermarkets are expected to operate on reduced hours during the August bank holiday.

Tesco's larger stores in England and Wales are scheduled to be open from 8am to 6pm, though express locations may maintain normal hours. Sainsbury's most large supermarkets are expected to operate from 7am until 10pm.

Asda stores are slated to open at 8am and close at 10pm, with some express locations potentially remaining open for 24 hours. Waitrose and M&S will also see reduced hours, with Waitrose typically operating from 8am to 6pm and M&S closing between 6pm and 8pm.

Lidl stores are generally expected to close at 8pm, though London locations may stay open until 10pm. Morrisons' larger supermarkets are also expected to close early.
