UK theatres announce new Peter Pan productions in Shrewsbury and York

Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury will stage "Peter Pan on Ice" from 20‑24 January 2027, featuring Olympic champion Molly Lanaghan as Tinker Bell and three‑time German champion Joti Polizoakis. The production will transform the stage into a sheet of ice for a high‑energy retelling of the classic tale.

York Theatre Royal’s Youth Theatre will present a youth‑led version of "Wendy & Peter Pan" in its Main House from 3‑5 September. More than 40 performers aged 8‑19, directed by Lydia Crosland and Sophie‑Jade Howell, will bring Ella Hickson’s script to life with original music and design contributions from local artists.

Both events highlight the continued popularity of J.M. Barrie’s story in regional UK theatre, offering family‑friendly entertainment through distinct formats – an ice‑spectacle and a youth‑driven stage production.
