UK universities announce PhD scholarship opportunities

Several United Kingdom universities have announced doctoral scholarship opportunities for upcoming academic cycles.

The University of Sussex is accepting applications for the Commonwealth PhD Scholarships for September 2027 entry. These fully funded scholarships are aimed at talented students from eligible low-income Commonwealth countries, least developed countries, and fragile states. Leeds University Business School is offering two PhD Excellence Scholarships for the 2026-27 session. These scholarships cover full academic fees and provide a maintenance grant of £21,805, which is expected to increase annually in line with UKRI rates. The funding is available to both UK and international applicants, specifically supporting new postgraduate researchers in the Marketing Department. Research areas include strategic innovation, digitalization, workplace inclusion, and sustainable business.
