UK universities announce scholarship opportunities for 2027

Several United Kingdom universities have announced scholarship opportunities for the 2027 academic year.

The University of Edinburgh, through the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, is offering fully funded postgraduate scholarships for the 2027/28 academic year. These awards are available for selected on-campus Master’s programmes as well as online Master’s and Postgraduate Diploma programmes. The program targets exceptional young people from Africa, specifically those aged 35 or under, who demonstrate leadership and a commitment to addressing the climate crisis. Applicants must attend a mandatory virtual information session between 15 and 24 September 2026, with the main application deadline set for 19 November 2026.

The University of East Anglia (UEA) is also providing various scholarship options for international students. These include undergraduate, Master’s, PhD, and doctoral research opportunities across all academic disciplines. Available awards include the Vice Chancellor’s Global Impact and Leadership Scholarship, the UEA-CSC PhD Studentships, and the 60th Anniversary Scholarship, among others. Deadlines for these programs vary depending on the specific award and intended start date.
