Čukarički dismisses coach Marko Jakšić

FK Čukarički has officially terminated its cooperation with head coach Marko Jakšić following a 2-2 draw against Mačva. The decision comes after a series of poor results that saw the team drop into the lower part of the table, failing to meet the club's ambitions of competing for the top of the league.

Sport director Vladimir Matijašević expressed gratitude to Jakšić and his staff, noting that while Jakšić is a good coach, the team's performance did not align with the club's expectations. Under Jakšić, the team earned only 12 points in 11 rounds this season.

Ilija Stolica is reportedly the leading candidate to replace Jakšić. Stolica, an experienced coach with previous experience at Partizan and the Serbian youth national teams, is expected to be officially appointed by Wednesday.
