Łukasiewicz Research Network expands Polish microelectronics and aviation infrastructure
Representatives from the public administration, the Łukasiewicz Research Network, and various industrial enterprises met to discuss the application of Polish microelectronics and photonics expertise in industry, defense, and national security. The discussions focused on new infrastructure being developed through projects funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO), specifically the Silicon Microelectronics and Micromounting Center and the Microelectronics and Photonics Competence Center.
Additionally, the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Aviation presented the modernization of the T-3 aerodynamic tunnel, an investment valued at 105 million PLN. The T-3 tunnel is noted as the largest facility of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. These infrastructure upgrades aim to enhance the research and testing capabilities of the Łukasiewicz institutes to support scientific and industrial advancement.
