Łukasz P. remains in custody amid 7.5 million PLN fraud investigation

The District Court in Gdańsk has extended the temporary arrest of Łukasz P., a businessman and husband of celebrity Sylwia Peretti. The decision, made on September 15, 2026, follows a request from the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk. He will remain in custody until at least December 27, 2026.

Łukasz P. is one of five suspects in an investigation involving the alleged embezzlement of over 7.5 million PLN from the National Centre for Research and Development. He faces three charges related to the case. While his defense counsel has questioned the necessity of the arrest and stated that his client denies the allegations, the prosecution maintains the severity of the potential crimes, which could carry prison sentences ranging from 5 to 25 years.
