Łukasz Poruczek remains in custody after court rejects appeal
The District Court in Gdańsk has rejected an appeal by the defense and maintained the temporary arrest of Łukasz Poruczek. Poruczek has been in custody since late June 2026.
Poruczek faces allegations of defrauding the National Centre for Research and Development of more than 7.5 million PLN. The investigation involves a project designed to develop technology for locating and neutralizing dangerous chemical ammunition on the seabed of the Baltic Sea. The charges include financial fraud, the use of false documents, and the issuance of fraudulent invoices.
Celebrity Sylwia Peretti, the suspect's wife, traveled approximately 600 km from the Kraków area to Gdańsk for the court hearing, expressing hope for his release. Following the court's decision to uphold the arrest, Mariusz Marciniak, spokesperson for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk, confirmed that the legal status of the suspect remains unchanged.
