UKE Hamburg to open new clinic for ME/CFS and Long COVID

The University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) is planning to launch a new outpatient clinic dedicated to patients suffering from ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) and Long COVID.

The initiative aims to address rising case numbers and a current gap in specialized care. The facility will focus on strengthening interdisciplinary diagnostics and patient support, as these conditions often involve complex and intensive symptoms. The expansion also places a greater clinical focus on the long-term consequences of various infections.
