UKM to host Malaysia Madani Poetry Recitation Program

The Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Cultural Centre is organizing the Malaysia Madani UKM 2026 Poetry Recitation Program at the UKM Art Stage in Bangi. Held in conjunction with Malaysia Day, the event aims to preserve oral arts and foster patriotism, national identity, and a love for the Malay language, particularly among Generation Z.

Under the theme ‘Keperwiraan Bangsa’, the program serves as a platform for creative expression and a means to build strategic networks between national poets, art figures, National Laureates, UKM alumni, and the campus community. Featured performers include Prof. Emeritus Datuk Seri Dr. Awang Sariyan, National Laureate Datuk Rahman Shaari, and artist Alina Hasan, alongside various national and university poets.
