Ukraine reports multiple casualties and infrastructure damage from Russian strikes

Russian military strikes across several Ukrainian regions resulted in multiple casualties and significant infrastructure damage on November 1. In the Kharkiv region, 11 people were injured in the village of Vasyshchevo during a strike involving a Geran-3 jet drone. The attack damaged a five-story apartment building, two private houses, and a greenhouse. Among the injured in Vasyshchevo was a 3-year-old child.

In the Dnipropetrovsk region, more than 40 strikes using drones and artillery targeted five districts. These attacks damaged residential buildings, enterprises, a hotel, shops, and vehicles. Six people were injured in the region, including a 34-year-old man in moderate condition and two elderly individuals receiving outpatient care.

In Zaporizhzhia, an aerial strike caused a fire covering 600 square meters in a warehouse, though no casualties were reported from that specific incident. However, a separate FPV drone attack in the city injured two people.

The Ukrainian General Staff reported 191 combat engagements over the 24-hour period, with the most intense activity occurring in the Pokrovsk direction. Additionally, the Air Alert mobile application has partially restored functionality following a cyberattack that spread false messages regarding radiation and chemical hazards.
