Ukraine and Russia escalate drone strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure

Ukraine and Russia have engaged in a significant escalation of drone and missile strikes targeting civilian and energy infrastructure. In Kyiv, Russian drone attacks on fuel stations in the Obolonskyi and Dniprovskyi districts resulted in at least two deaths and several injuries.

Ukrainian long-range drone strikes have reached deep into Russian territory. A record-breaking strike reportedly hit a gas processing plant in Novy Urengoy, located approximately 3,200 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. Other strikes targeted a Rosneft oil refinery and an Ozon logistics center in the Saratov region, causing fires and disrupting supply chains.

In the Black Sea region, Ukrainian maritime drones attacked the resort city of Sochi, causing explosions near the waterfront and injuring eight people. The attack also forced the evacuation of a concert. Additionally, Russian strikes in Pavlohrad killed at least four people and wounded over 60 near a shopping mall. These developments highlight an intensifying campaign aimed at disrupting economic stability and civilian morale on both sides.
