Ukraine and Russia exchange deadly drone and missile strikes

Cross-border attacks involving drones and missiles resulted in at least nine deaths in Ukraine and four deaths in Russia on Saturday.

In Ukraine, ballistic missiles targeted railway infrastructure in Kyiv, causing one death and one injury. In the Zaporizhzhia region, three people were killed and 15 injured. Attacks in Boryspil, Kyiv region, struck a warehouse and residential areas, leaving two dead and eight injured, while strikes in Lviv killed three people and injured five at a factory. In the Sumy region, two people died following explosions.

In Russian-controlled Crimea, two civilians were killed and five injured in Sevastopol when Ukrainian drones struck a bus. On the Russian side, in the Krasnodar region, a Ukrainian drone strike on civilian infrastructure in Yeisk killed two children and injured two adults.

These escalations follow a Russian offensive against a shopping center in Kryvyi Rih the previous day, which killed 16 people and injured approximately 130.
