Ukraine develops jet interceptors and long-range missiles

Ukraine is developing new technological solutions to counter evolving Russian aerial threats. To combat the increasing speed of Russian Geran-series jet drones, which can reach speeds of 500 km/h, Ukrainian engineers have developed the Alexa Spatium. This jet-powered interceptor is designed to fly at speeds up to 600 km/h, filling a defensive gap where traditional machine guns and slower propeller-driven aircraft are no longer effective.

In parallel, the company Fire Point has unveiled details regarding the FP-9, an operational-strategic missile designed for deep strikes into Russian territory. The FP-9 features a mobile ground launch platform and a solid-fuel motor for rapid deployment. Notably, the missile is reported to carry an 800-kilogram warhead, significantly larger than the payload of the American ATACMS. With a projected range exceeding 800 kilometers, the system is intended to target high-value assets such as ammunition depots, command centers, and energy infrastructure.
