Ukraine drone production scales as drone crash occurs in Bulgaria

Ukrainian defense startup Fire Point is significantly scaling its drone production to support long-range military operations. CEO Iryna Terekh stated that the company, which provides over 60% of Ukraine's long-range strike capabilities, aims to produce more than 100,000 drones by the end of the year. Terekh emphasized that military strength has become a necessary prerequisite for diplomacy in the ongoing conflict with Russia.

In a separate incident, a drone carrying explosives crashed and exploded in northeastern Bulgaria near Kardam, close to the Romanian border. The crash occurred approximately 1,000 meters from a compression station of the Balkan natural gas pipeline. While the explosion caused no damage to energy infrastructure or casualties, the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense noted that debris resembles a 'Maya' type decoy drone used by Ukrainian forces. Bulgarian authorities have summoned the Ukrainian ambassador for explanations, while Kyiv maintains it did not intentionally target Bulgarian territory and is ready to cooperate with investigations.
