Ukraine drone strikes disrupt services in Crimea
Ukraine has intensified its drone strike campaign against Russian-controlled Crimea, targeting military facilities and disrupting civilian infrastructure. The increased frequency of these attacks has led to significant shortages of fuel, electricity, water, and basic services across the peninsula.
Reports from the region indicate that transportation has reached a standstill and many essential businesses, including banks and stores, have closed. The peninsula, which Russia seized in 2014, currently has an estimated population of 2.5 million, including approximately 1 million Russian troops and civilians. The disruption of imports and critical services is creating increasingly difficult living conditions for the population.
