Ukraine drone strikes kill 16 in Kryvyi Rih mall attack
Russian drone strikes across Ukraine have caused significant casualties and destruction. In Kryvyi Rih, the death toll from an attack on the Soniachna Halereia shopping centre has risen to 16. President Volodymyr Zelensky described the incident as a ‘double-tap’ strike, alleging that a second wave of drones deliberately targeted emergency responders. In the Kyiv region, strikes hit an enterprise in the Bucha district, triggering massive fires and secondary explosions. The attack resulted in six injuries and the evacuation of 165 people. In Kyiv itself, drone activity affected ten locations, including residential buildings, warehouses, and an educational institution. The Ukrainian Air Force reported the presence of a jet-powered drone near Brovary during the strikes.
