Ukraine holds cultural exhibitions in Nigeria and Bulgaria
Ukrainian embassies in Nigeria and Bulgaria have launched cultural exhibitions to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.
In Abuja, Nigeria, Ambassador Ivan Kholostenko unveiled an exhibition featuring traditional artifacts, military unit flags, and photographs documenting the ongoing war. A central feature is the “Puzzle of Unity,” an interactive installation consisting of 20 pieces that represent the country’s diverse regions, architecture, and history through contemporary artwork and historical narratives.
In Sofia, Bulgaria, the embassy presented a photo exhibition titled “The Unbroken: Light in the Dark” at the National Museum “Earth and Man.” The collection, featuring the work of photographer Serhiy Gimush, offers a perspective from the front lines. Gimush, a volunteer who suffered severe injuries during an evacuation in the Kharkiv region, uses his photography to document the resilience of volunteers, medical workers, and displaced civilians.
