Ukraine invasion: Civilian impact and volunteer experiences
As the Russian invasion of Ukraine enters its fourth year, ongoing aerial attacks and ground assaults continue to target civilian infrastructure, including schools, grocery stores, and fuel stations. Amidst the destruction in cities like Kyiv, humanitarian and religious activities persist.
Dave Eubank reported on the experiences of international volunteers in the region. Jasmine, an Australian volunteer reporter, was baptized in the Dnipro River in Kyiv. She was accompanied by James, an English volunteer soldier, and Mozzie, an Australian ex-soldier. Following their time in Kyiv, Mozzie was later killed by Russian drones while serving as a medic at the front lines.
