Ukraine launches major operation near Krasny Liman to isolate Russian forces
Ukrainian forces are conducting significant operations in the Krasny Liman direction, specifically targeting Russian positions west of the Zherebets River. Reports indicate that units from the Azov 3rd Corps, including the 3rd Assault Brigade and the 66th Mechanized Brigade, have launched coordinated attacks to isolate a Russian salient.
By attacking from both the north and south, Ukrainian troops aim to capture the village of Kolodezy, which would potentially cut off Russian forces across an area of approximately 150 square kilometers. This operation threatens Russian territorial gains that previously jeopardized the security of Lyman and Slovyansk in the Donetsk region.
In other sectors, fighting remains intense. In the Zaporozhye direction, Russian units have captured Dolinka and are contesting Novosoloshino. In the Kharkiv region, reports suggest the formation of a ‘Volchansk cauldron,’ while Russian forces have also made advances in the Sumy region and near Dobropolye.
