The National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA) has issued a warning regarding the spread of disinformation on social media. False reports are circulating concerning alleged mass food product recalls and uncontrolled outbreaks of animal diseases. ANSVSA clarified that the epidemiological situation remains under control and that all legitimate sanitary alerts are published transparently on their official website.

Separately, the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) is implementing new regulations for digital content creators under Decision no. 116/2026, effective September 27, 2026. Influencers and creators who meet specific cumulative criteria—including having at least 100,000 followers across platforms, publishing at least 24 videos in the last year, and monetizing their content—will be required to notify the CNA. These creators will have a 60-day window to complete the notification process once the rules take effect.
