Ukraine polls show lower sympathy for Romania and Poland

Recent polling in Ukraine indicates that public sympathy for Romania and Poland is lower than for other Western nations, despite both countries providing critical logistical support and long-term assistance to Kyiv.

According to data from Rating Group, Romania holds a 56% favorability rating and Poland holds 50% among Ukrainians. These figures are notably lower than the support levels for France (81%), the United Kingdom (80%), Germany (77%), and Lithuania (77%).

Political scientist Radu Albu Comănescu notes that while these percentages do not indicate hostility, the gap between material contribution and perceived affinity is striking. He suggests that this disparity could potentially be used as an argument by anti-Ukrainian or pro-Russian voices within Romania and Poland.
