Ukraine presents US with list of military and air defense needs

Ukrainian Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara met with US Senators Thom Tillis, John Curtis, and Alan Armstrong to present a specific list of military requirements aimed at countering Russian aggression. The discussions focused on the current battlefield situation, primary threats from Russia, and Ukraine's urgent need for air defense capabilities.

Khmara highlighted that Russia is intensifying attacks on civilian objects, increasing production of ballistic missiles and jet drones, and targeting vessels supporting Ukrainian grain exports. He emphasized that continued support is essential to provide Ukraine with the tools necessary to protect its population and degrade Russian military potential.

The meeting also addressed how Ukrainian combat experience could help strengthen the United States and its allies against modern threats, with the Ukrainian side presenting projects to assist partners in preparing for contemporary warfare.
