Former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States Olha Stefanishyna was dismissed by President Volodymyr Zelensky on 3 August 2026. Investigators say she failed to declare two Kyiv apartments and used undeclared cash for renovations, airline tickets, rent on another flat and a Mercedes registered to a subordinate. The High Anti‑Corruption Court set her bail at 6 million hryvnia (≈ $134 000) after prosecutors had asked for a higher amount.

Stefanishyna denied wrongdoing, stating she would “defend my position calmly and lawfully” and that the procedural actions do not constitute a finding of guilt.
