Ukraine receives first 10 Protector unmanned vehicles funded by Germany

The National Guard of Ukraine has received the first 10 unmanned Protector vehicles as part of a larger order for 100 units. The entire procurement was funded by the German government as part of its military assistance to Kyiv.

According to the manufacturer, Ukrainian Armor, the 10 vehicles have been distributed among four National Guard units. These unmanned ground platforms are designed to perform logistical and evacuation tasks in combat zones, including the delivery of ammunition, food, and fuel, as well as the transport of wounded personnel.

Technical specifications provided by Ukrainian Armor indicate the Protector has a payload capacity of 1,480 kg and can tow a trailer weighing up to 4 tons. The vehicle features an operational range of up to 400 km. The deployment of these systems aims to reduce human exposure to high-risk environments during essential frontline operations.
