Ukraine receives US approval for Patriot missile production amid diplomatic tensions

Ukraine faces dual developments involving military support and diplomatic friction. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the United States has granted Ukraine licenses to produce its own Patriot air defense missiles, following a meeting with President Donald Trump.

Simultaneously, South Korea has expressed significant irritation toward Ukraine. Seoul accused Kyiv of breaching a confidential agreement after Zelenskyy publicly mentioned the transfer of two North Korean soldiers to South Korea during a speech at the UN General Assembly. South Korean officials have requested an official explanation and apology for the disclosure.

On the battlefield, Russian drone and missile strikes continue to impact Ukrainian civilians. Attacks in Kyiv, including a strike on a market in a suburb, have resulted in multiple deaths and injuries. Additional strikes in the Zaporizhzhia region also reported fatalities.
