Ukraine reinforces Belarus border and warns of missile shortages

Ukraine is reinforcing its northern border with Belarus due to concerns over expanding Belarusian military capacity. In the Volyn region, which covers 203 km of the border, authorities have installed concrete walls, barbed wire, anti-tank ditches, and "dragon's teeth" to deter infantry and vehicles. These fortifications, completed in late 2025, aim to protect critical supply routes from Poland to Kyiv.

Separately, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned that the supply of defensive missile systems remains insufficient to counter intensifying Russian aerial attacks. Despite recent agreements with the United States, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is receiving approximately one-third fewer anti-ballistic missiles than in the previous year. He emphasized that the current supply of Patriot missiles is inadequate for national survival and called for the effective use of European aid.
