Ukraine reports record Russian military losses in September

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the Russian army suffered its highest monthly personnel losses of the year in September. According to Kyiv, over 46,230 Russian military personnel were neutralized during that month, representing an increase of approximately 45.8 percent compared to figures reported in January.

In the first nine months of the year, Ukrainian estimates place total Russian military losses at nearly 327,000 personnel. These figures were released during Ukraine’s Defenders and Defenders Day, an annual occasion established in 2014 to honor those protecting the country.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation from the front lines, stating that the struggle in Ukraine determines the fate of Europe and the free world. He emphasized the resilience of the defenders as the country enters its fifth year since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022.
