Ukraine accuses U.S. of aiding Russia via missile warning failures and Starlink limits
Ukraine has accused the United States of indirectly assisting Russia by failing to provide early warnings of ballistic missile attacks and by imposing restrictions on the Starlink satellite network. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that recent Russian strikes on Kyiv and other regions caused at least 15 deaths and damaged critical energy infrastructure in Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Sumy, and Chernihiv.
Ukrainian military officials stated that Starlink connection speeds are being limited when terminals are moved at speeds exceeding 160 km/h, a restriction that hampers the operation of drones and air defense systems. Zelenskyy expressed a sense of betrayal regarding a recent diesel supply agreement between the Trump administration and Moscow.
Elon Musk responded to the allegations by stating that any service disruptions are the responsibility of the U.S. government rather than SpaceX. He noted that the Starshield system, used for military communications, is controlled by the U.S. government and that any usage limitations are decided by the military and the President.
