Ukraine receives multi‑nation aid boost for air defence and drones

Australia announced an additional $100 million for Ukraine, bringing its total support to more than $1.8 billion. Germany pledged $500 million to strengthen Kyiv’s air‑defence systems and is coordinating further U.S. weapons deliveries. The United Kingdom committed a £750 million package that will deliver 150,000 Ukrainian‑produced drones, over 350 air‑defence missiles and radar systems by the end of 2026, funded from frozen Russian sovereign assets. The Netherlands said it will provide €500 million for drones and air‑defence equipment, half of which will flow through the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) programme. Sweden confirmed a new aid package worth roughly one billion Swedish crowns, focused on Patriot missiles, anti‑ballistic missiles and other air‑defence munitions. All of these pledges were made at recent NATO Defence Ministers meetings and Ukraine Defence Contact Group sessions, underscoring a coordinated international effort to reinforce Ukraine’s air‑defence capability against Russia’s missile and drone attacks.
