Ukraine Secures Over €10 bn for Reconstruction at Gdańsk Conference

At the Gdańsk Conference for Ukraine's reconstruction, more than 200 agreements, contracts and memoranda were signed, amounting to over €10 billion in pledges. The commitments include a $3.4 billion loan from the World Bank, a road‑rehabilitation deal with the European Investment Bank, €140 million for housing programmes, and the creation of an European Reconstruction Fund for critical infrastructure. The European Union announced a €3.2 billion tranche of its €90 billion loan facility and an additional €6 billion for Ukrainian drone production. The event gathered around 7,500 participants, 70 national delegations and 30 international organisations, underlining broad international support for Ukraine's post‑war recovery.

The conference also highlighted new partnerships in defence and industry sectors, alongside investments in energy and critical infrastructure, emphasizing a multi‑year strategy to rebuild the war‑torn regions.
