Ukraine seeks PAC-3 missiles amid tactical shifts in conflict
Ukraine continues to face chronic shortages of air defense systems, with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy requesting a significant quantity of PAC-3 interceptor missiles from United States stocks. Zelenskyy has also expressed that any peaceful resolution to the conflict must exclude the surrender of territory in the Donbas region.
On the battlefield, the nature of combat is undergoing a fundamental tactical shift. Despite Russia's numerical superiority in personnel and material, significant territorial breakthroughs remain difficult due to the high visibility of troop movements. The integration of drones, electronic warfare, and artificial intelligence has transformed the tactical level of the conflict, making traditional numerical advantages less decisive.
Strategic actions continue to target critical infrastructure, with Ukraine striking Russian oil and defense industries, while Russia targets Ukrainian energy infrastructure. Additionally, reports indicate that British long-range drones are being utilized in strikes against Russian territory.
