Progress Rocket and Space Center Roscosmos Flamingo missiles deep strikes Samara region

Ukrainian forces conducted a series of deep-range strikes against strategic Russian military and industrial targets. President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the Progress Rocket and Space Center in the Samara region, a key Roscosmos enterprise responsible for producing Soyuz-2 launch vehicles and electronic components, was hit using FP-5 Flamingo missiles. The strike, occurring approximately 900 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, reportedly caused a fire at the facility.

In addition to the Samara strike, Zelensky reported that long-range weapons targeted the Savasleyka airfield in the Nizhny Novgorod region, a base used to host aircraft that carry missiles targeting Ukrainian territory. Ukrainian forces also struck an oil facility at the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad region, located over 800 kilometers from the border.

Russian authorities in the Samara region acknowledged an attack on an industrial facility and deployed emergency services to assess the situation and potential casualties. The Ukrainian campaign, described by Zelensky as part of a long-range sanctions plan, aims to degrade Russia's capacity to sustain its military operations.
