Ukraine strikes Russian Bastion missile system in Crimea

The Ukrainian Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) announced that its forces successfully struck a Russian Bastion missile system in occupied Crimea. The operation, carried out in August by the specialized HUR unit known as Group 13, targeted the coastal defense platform used by Russian forces to launch Oniks and Zircon missiles against Ukraine.

In addition to the missile system, the operation reportedly destroyed or damaged two Russian fuel transport trucks and a command and staff vehicle on the peninsula. While the exact location and specific weapons used in the strike were not disclosed, HUR released images intended to illustrate the attacks. The Bastion system, originally designed for naval targets, has been adapted by Russian forces to launch missiles from land toward Ukrainian territory.
