Ukraine Uses Heavy Bomber Drone to Deliver KFC Meal to Front‑Line Troops
Ukrainian forces have employed the Heavy Shot bomber drone, originally designed to carry mortar rounds, to deliver a KFC order to soldiers of the 3rd Separate Special Purpose Regiment on the front line. The drone, built by Gurzuf Defence, can lift 20‑30 kg over distances of up to 20 km and has been repurposed to transport food, water, medical supplies and even an electric bicycle to positions inaccessible to ground vehicles.
In parallel, Ukrainian defence units have rapidly advanced their robotic and drone capabilities. New AI‑enhanced ground, air and sea drones are being fielded within weeks, a pace far faster than peacetime development cycles. Heavy‑lift drones now serve as logistical platforms, while AI‑driven targeting systems are increasingly used for strikes on Russian supply routes and energy infrastructure. Human operators still retain final control over lethal actions, but the speed of innovation and the expanding role of autonomous systems are reshaping battlefield logistics and combat in the conflict.
