Ukraine warns $29.5B in international aid at risk amid legislative deadlines

Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi has warned that delays in parliamentary decisions could jeopardize $29.5 billion in planned international financing for Ukraine. The government has moved its deadline for adopting 42 necessary resolutions forward to October 15 to ensure funds are unlocked, particularly as the country prepares for winter and potential Russian attacks on critical infrastructure. Currently, the Verkhovna Rada is tasked with reviewing 27 bills required for this process.

In a separate development regarding the conflict, Donald Trump claimed that Kyiv and Moscow have agreed to cease mutual attacks on energy targets. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to these claims by stating that Ukraine would only stop such strikes if allies can guarantee a halt to Russian attacks on its own energy infrastructure.
