Ukraine: Women drive resilience through specialized services and business

Amidst the ongoing Russian invasion, Ukrainian women are finding diverse ways to contribute to their country and support their communities.

Liliya Chertenko, an extraordinary professor at the National University of Technologies and Design, has launched a private initiative to manufacture orthopedic shoes. Her work focuses on assisting soldiers who have suffered limb amputations due to the conflict.

In another instance of wartime resilience, pharmacist Alina Maksymenko has founded the cosmetics brand M2O. Despite the disruptions caused by the war, Maksymenko continues to develop skincare and haircare products, emphasizing innovation and character support through her business.
