Ukraine's Zelensky thanks Dominican President Abinader

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to Dominican Republic President Luis Abinader for his support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity following congratulations on Ukraine's 35th Independence Day.

Zelensky noted the importance of mutual respect and friendship between the two nations and expressed interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation. The message comes as Ukraine continues to resist the Russian invasion, which began four years ago.

In a separate development, the European Union announced the release of 6.1 billion euros in military aid to bolster Ukraine's defenses, specifically targeting air defense systems, missiles, and ammunition. This funding is part of a larger 90 billion euro European loan mechanism for Ukraine, with approximately 16 billion euros approved so far.
