Ukrainian activist Yevhen Volnov hacks Russian defence ministry budget video call

Ukrainian activist Yevhen Volnov, also known as Major Chornobayev, said he joined a closed video conference of the Russian Ministry of Defence that was discussing the defence budget. The call involved roughly 50 participants, including ministry officials, representatives of logistics and supply companies, and managers of weapons factories.

Volnov claimed he was able to identify every participant and warned that Ukrainian drones could strike any target in Russia’s military‑industrial complex. He said the participants reacted with panic and left the conference one after another. The activist has previously infiltrated other Russian ministry meetings and, according to Russian authorities, faces an arrest order for incitement and related offences.
