Ukrainian Ambassador visits action medeor aid warehouse

Oleksii Makeiev, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany, and Jürgen Steinmetz, Honorary Consul of Ukraine, visited the medical aid organization action medeor in Tönisvorst to observe ongoing emergency relief efforts for Ukraine.

Since February 2022, action medeor has conducted nearly 400 aid shipments to Ukraine, totaling over 1,160 tons of supplies valued at approximately 16.5 million euros. These deliveries have supported roughly 200 healthcare facilities with essential medicines, mobile ultrasound and X-ray machines, and ambulances.

Beyond medical supplies, the organization has provided winter relief, drinking water, and psychological support to hundreds of thousands of people, particularly in southern Ukraine. A new project, supported by the German Federal Foreign Office and implemented alongside the Johanniter, aims to expand healthcare services to approximately 160,000 people, with a focus on areas near the front lines.
