Ukrainian Astronomers Claim Discovery of Over 20 UFOs Near Moon

A team of researchers at Ukraine's Main Astronomical Observatory released a non‑peer‑reviewed preprint reporting the detection of more than 20 unidentified objects near the Moon during 2025. Using a high‑speed camera at the Vinarivka observatory, the scientists recorded ring‑shaped and disc‑shaped phenomena, estimating diameters from 440 m up to 25 miles and speeds that could generate centrifugal forces exceeding twice Earth's gravity.

The authors divided the objects into two categories: stationary “atmospheric” objects that appeared fixed relative to the lunar surface, and fast‑moving “continental” objects that traversed the Moon’s face. They suggested the observed patterns might indicate structured, technological behavior and even a hidden base on the Moon, noting that some objects could reach Earth in roughly 20 minutes and appear as UAPs in the atmosphere.

The study has not undergone independent peer review, no raw footage has been released, and experts have highlighted methodological uncertainties, potential image artifacts, and the lack of corroborating observations. The scientific community remains skeptical of the claim that the Moon serves as a base for extraterrestrial activity.
