Ukrainian children find respite in Kemer, Turkey

A program organized by the Kemer Municipality gave war‑affected Ukrainian children a short holiday in the Turkish resort town. The visit was arranged after Ukrainian Consul General Boğdan Konopliasty asked mayor Necati Topaloğlu to host the children. Accompanied by teachers Iryna Hutnyk and Olena Zozulevych, the youngsters toured Kemer’s natural and cultural sites, enjoyed the sea and sun, and took part in social, sporting and cultural activities.

Mayor Topaloğlu said the children’s smiles were the greatest reward and expressed hope for a swift end to the Russia‑Ukraine war, adding that providing a safe, peaceful environment was a priority for the town.
