Gordie Howe International Bridge hosts ribbon-cutting ceremony
Michigan officials participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Gordie Howe International Bridge, despite the event being designated as Canada-only. The representatives were part of a six-person bi-national group known as the International Authority, which oversees the bridge project.
The bridge features a multi-use pedestrian and cycling pathway that includes a plaque marking the international boundary between Canada and the United States. The pathway opened to the public on Wednesday, August 6.
