Ukrainian drones strike S-400 launch ramp near Putin's palace

Ukrainian drones have struck an S-400 Triumf missile launch ramp located near Vladimir Putin's palace complex in Gelendzhik, southern Russia. The facility, designed to protect the presidential residence from long-range attacks, was reportedly in flames for several hours following the strike.

Major Robert Browdi, commander of Ukrainian unmanned systems, stated that the launch ramp had been repurposed to fire munitions at Ukrainian cities, including six missiles launched on August 8. The S-400 system is part of a defense network that includes electronic warfare systems and mobile groups, surrounding the palace within a 70-square-kilometer buffer zone.

Analysts suggest that Russia has increasingly relied on these repurposed systems to intensify missile strikes on Ukraine due to a shortage of Patriot interceptor missiles.
