Ukrainian influencer receives 5‑year Poland entry ban after illegal drive to Morskie Oko

Ukrainian social‑media influencer Andrij Hawryliw drove a Corvette onto a road that is closed to traffic in the Tatra National Park, reaching the Morskie Oko lake area. The 8‑km stretch is prohibited for vehicles, but he followed a navigation route that led him past a raised barrier and missed a "no‑entry" sign. Polish police stopped him after he returned, issuing a 100‑zł fine and eight penalty points, although the statutory fine could have been up to 5,000 zł.

Following the incident, Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński announced that, on the police’s request, Hawryliw would be placed on a list of unwanted persons and barred from entering Poland and the broader Schengen area for five years. Prime Minister Donald Tusk also called for strict consequences. Hawryliw subsequently posted an apology video from Lviv, disputing the ban and stating that he left Poland voluntarily and that his offense did not constitute a crime warranting such restrictions.
