Ukrainian speedway rider Nazar Parnicki apologizes to Polish journalists

After the PGE Ekstraliga match in Leszno where Fogo Unia Leszno beat Bayersystem GKM Grudziądz 51‑39, Ukrainian rider Nazar Parnicki declined to give a post‑match interview. He later posted a statement on social media apologising to Polish journalists, saying media contact is important for his sport and that his recent silence was not meant as disrespect.

Parnicki, the 2022 junior world champion and the league’s most successful young rider, has struggled with form this season. Former Unia Leszno president Rufin Sokołowski commented that good media relations are crucial for attracting sponsors and that the rider’s withdrawal from interviews could harm his public image.
