Ukrainian striker Mykhaylo Mudryk ordered to pay €6 million, assets frozen after image‑rights case

Ukrainian forward Mykhaylo Mudryk, 25, who plays for Chelsea and is serving a four‑year doping suspension, lost a civil case in London. JJDS Management Limited claimed he breached an image‑rights contract signed at his January 2023 transfer and sought more than £5 million (about €6 million). The High Court ruled in the company’s favour, ordering Mudryk to pay the sum and freezing his bank accounts, including a seizure of £2.5 million.

The court also issued an asset‑freezing order after Ukrainian media reported the judgment. Mudryk had tested positive for meldonium in 2024 and denied wrongdoing, appealing the sporting ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
