Russia and Ukraine exchange massive drone and missile strikes

Russia and Ukraine engaged in heavy reciprocal aerial attacks involving drones and missiles, resulting in multiple casualties and significant infrastructure damage in both nations.

In Russia, a large-scale drone strike on Belgorod killed at least one person and injured up to 14 others. The attack caused damage to approximately 30 residential buildings, vehicles, and commercial facilities. In the Bryansk region, two people were killed and two others seriously injured when a drone targeted an agricultural vehicle. Additionally, a missile strike in the Oryol region reportedly killed three people at a civilian enterprise.

In Ukraine, Russian strikes targeted energy infrastructure, logistics centers, and residential areas across several regions. In the Dnipropetrovsk region, four people were killed and 22 injured, including an 11-year-old girl. A drone strike in Vinnytsia hit a five-story apartment building, injuring six people and damaging several apartments. In Kharkiv, strikes hit a home improvement hypermarket and subsequently targeted emergency responders. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that over the past week, Russia has deployed approximately 1,600 guided aerial bombs, 48 missiles, and nearly 2,300 attack drones against Ukrainian territory.

Ukrainian forces responded by striking Russian military targets, including radar stations in Belgorod and command posts in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
